The Hogsmill Nature Reserve has a wide variety of habitats, attracting over 115 species of birds, including some rarer species. The semi natural grassland, tall herb, scrub and lagoons provide habitat for badgers, hedgehog, great crested newts and white letter hairstreak butterflies, not to mention a wide variety of other species.

Surrey Wildlife Trust is one of 46 wildlife trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of volunteers and members they manage over 7000ha of land for wildlife and people in Surrey. They also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.
