Animals play a key role in helping the environment and the planet we live on. So, in our fabulous books, we explore lots of different ways these animals help not only the characters, but the world.
In ‘The Daring Droplets World Water Cycle Team’, Dribble comes face to face with a crocodile and runs away in panic by jumping into the river. Looking into the eyes of a huge crocodile would be terrifying, but crocodiles actually do help with our environment by keeping the balance in the circle of life in freshwaters, as they are on top of the food chain.
As The Droplets find lots of plastic in the ocean in the present day in ‘The Daring Droplets’ Diary’, they find a polar bear and her cub covered in dirty oil and try to help them. Polar bears are critical for our ecosystem as they help keep the balance in biological populations. Also, seeing polar bears means that ecosystem is healthy, so it is crucial we keep them with us.
Owls symbolise wisdom, and this is no more apparent than in ‘The Wilful Wildflowers And The Golden Petal’. The wise owl in the story gives the flowers advice on how to love themselves for who they are (which really is some good advice)! As well as being wise, owls are also amazing for the environment as they are natural pest control (they eat the pesky bugs).
